PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOG ON A LEASH
VET'S NOTE: Kipper was on a leash being walked by his owner when a Pit Bull came ten feet into Kipper's yard and commenced the unprovoked attack. The Pit Bull was not on a leash and consequently had to be put down because of this aggressive behavior. Had the Pit's owner leashed the dog, Kipper would not have suffered the attack and more so, the other dog would not have had to be put down. PLEASE, keep your dogs leashed!
Kipper’s care at Gods Creatures was amazing! He came in after an encounter with a Pit Bull. Kipper, a 9-pound Maltese mix, had several gashes that needed to be sutured and his body wall was compromised in two places. Dr. Burgess made a life saving decision to open Kipper up for exploratory surgery. Thank goodness! Kipper’s intestines were severed. Dr. Burgess cut off the bad tissue and re-attached his intestines. Ten days later Kipper was back to his old self. We are so thankful to Dr. Burgess and his caring staff.
