Rosie Seaman
Rosie was the most loving dog my family ever had. Her personality was almost human. After having lost a dog, a vet in Palm City told us of her and we went to see her. We entered the run and my son sat on the grass. Rosie charged at us and literally scared us, but instead of being violent, she curled down in front of my son and nuzzled him. We knew then and there that Rosie was special. Rosie was a very important member of our family for many years.
One day, I noticed a lump and took Rosie to our vet. He diagnosed cancer and told us she had only a few months to live. I looked at the calendar. Rosie would pass away at Christmas. This was not acceptable, it would devastate my family and ruin the holidays for everyone. So we sought second opinions. Each vet we visited assured us they could make Rosie comfortable, but Christmas it was. We had no more hope and we started to prepare for the worst Christmas we thought we would ever have.
That's when a friend recommended God's Creatures. We took Rosie in to see Dr. Burgess and his staff. Dr. Burgess gave us an option. He confidently told us he could treat Rosie and extend her life as well as improve the quality of it for about six months. That is all we needed to hear. We could love Rosie a bit longer but most of all, Dr. Burgess saved Christmas!
Rosie did pass away later that following year, but her battle with cancer was made easier with Dr. Burgess' love and compassion. That was ten years ago. Dr. Burgess has been our vet ever since and our other three "children" have always received the same quality care, as well as love and compassion. Thank you Dr. Burgess and God's Creatures!
